VIDEO ASSIGNMENTS

At Utah Online School, we believe that students build mastery and better retain their knowledge when they have opportunities to verbalize throughout the learning process. As such, our courses include required video components designed to increase engagement and reinforce the use of academic language.

It is expected that there will be a minimum of one video assessment per class, per quarter.  Semester courses will have two video assessments per semester.

Students are expected to state their name, date and name of the course at the beginning of the video and be seen and heard throughout the video.

We respect your family’s privacy and kindly ask that students complete video-recorded assignments in a quiet and appropriate setting, free from background conversations or interactions that may unintentionally be recorded. 

Students are also expected to properly follow the dress code guidelines.
