Honors Courses , AP and CE Courses are highly encouraged. Most schools would prefer to see students challenging themselves and getting a slightly lower grade (B-) in an AP class rather than an "easy A" class. GPA helps but it is NOT everything. Extracurricular activities are also important! Make sure to keep track of them over the years. Don't overexert yourself (remember grades still matter), but do include volunteer activities and any teams/clubs you participate in, as well as leadership positions and opportunities.
