Document Decision Processes

Deciding where to keep your work files takes some thinking. These decision trees are designed to walk you through the thought process of determining the location (My Drive, Shared Drive, or ProjectWise) and access permissions of documents based on the purpose, use and audience for the document.

These decisions should be made in concert with your team leader and team. Contact the UDOT Google Support team if you would like help facilitating these discussions and decisions with your team.

For new files - ones you are creating and sharing from scratch

For existing files - like those you are moving from the Network Drive to Google Drive.
