Utah DFCM's (Division of Facilities Construction and Management) primary role in a continuity event will be assessing and repairing state buildings. While DFCM can assist in procuring alternate work locations, they do not maintain vacant sites for this purpose. The amount of time it will take DFCM to procure an alternate work location for your organization will depend on a number of factors (such as how many state agencies need alternate work sites and what sites are currently available to DFCM). If your organization requires an alternate work site within a specific timeframe following a continuity event (in order to continue providing essential services), it is recommended that you set up your own MOU/MOA (Memorandum of Understanding / Memorandum of Agreement). Below are some templates and examples you can refer to.
Please note: If your organization is able to utilize remote work indefinitely, you likely do not need an alternate work location in your plans (the need for an alternate work site would be at the discretion of your agency leadership).
