Trust

You can’t be a great leader without trust. Leaders must both show trust in and earn the trust of the people they intend to lead. In this module you will learn of ways to establish work relationships based on trust and restoring trust when it has been lost.

Modules

1. Defining Trustworthy

In this segment we will define what it means to be trustworthy and how leaders go about becoming trustworthy.

2. Three Components of Trust

In this segment we will discuss why trust is so critical for leaders to increase positive outcomes for teams, organizations and individuals. We create these outcomes by understanding the three major components of trust.

3. Leading with Integrity

In this segment we will explore the topic of integrity. As one of the three components of trust, integrity is about maintaining strong moral principles that we uphold in any situation.

4. Good Intentions

As another component of trust, intentions can be hard to manage because often they are a direct result of our unconscious mind. In this section we will see how important it is that people trust our intentions towards them.

5. Creating a Trusting Environment

Ability is the final component of trust we will discuss. Ability not only refers to your ability to do your job but also your ability to create a trusting environment, what we refer to as ‘trust-ability’.

6. Enemies of Trust

In this final segment, you will be exposed to the ‘enemies of trust’. If you are not careful, you can gradually or even instantly lose the trust of those you lead. We will also outline what you can do to restore lost trust.
