Learning in Practice

We are the STARS (Students of Tabuk Achieving Real-world Skills) Project, a project of the English Language Institute, aiming to provide extracurricular clubs, activities, events, special courses and workshops in English for students at the University of Tabuk.

Our mission is to provide extracurricular activities for Tabuk University students to practice and develop their English language skills, and other 21st century-critical “soft” skills, outside the classroom. Last year was our first full year of operations, and a sample of what we offered was:

·       ≈135 weekly activities at two main locations on campus

·       ≈13 off-campus activities

·       ≈40 workshops - online and in-person

Over 3,500 students attended at least one STARS activity or workshop last year!
