New Dates: February (04-05 & 06), 2025
BACKGROUND
The conference titled "Sustainable Forest Management: Strategies for Balancing Forest Conservation with Human Needs and Climate Change Impacts" emerges in response to the growing global challenges of deforestation, biodiversity loss, and climate change. Forests, which cover about 31% of the world's land area, are critical for maintaining ecological balance, providing essential ecosystem services such as carbon sequestration, water regulation, and habitat for millions of species. However, increasing human demands for land, resources, and economic development have resulted in unprecedented deforestation and degradation of forest ecosystems, particularly in tropical regions. This conference aims to build on these global initiatives by fostering collaboration among scientists, policymakers, environmental organizations, and local communities to develop strategies for sustainable forest management.
CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES
The conference aims to Identify and disseminate best practices in sustainable forest management that balance conservation efforts with the growing demands of human development. Highlight successful case studies of SFM that have integrated ecological, social, and economic goals, providing models that can be replicated or adapted globally. To mobilize stakeholders to take collective action towards preserving forests, mitigating climate change, and ensuring sustainable use of forest resources for future generations. Emerging researchers and students will also be given the opportunity to present their research in the form of Oral or Poster presentations.
