Dr. Kevin Holloway | Pathways Program Director
Kevin M. Holloway, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist working as Director, Online Training, Technology, and Telehealth (OT3) at the Center for Deployment Psychology (CDP) and Assistant Professor of Medical and Clinical Psychology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. In this capacity, he leads a team of subject matter experts and support staff to develop and present workshops across the world to military and civilian audiences on topics in deployment behavioral health and evidence-based therapies for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Additionally, he leads a team of mental health subject matter experts and technology experts to develop and disseminate technology solutions to improve access to and quality of professional training. This team was recognized as Gold Medal winners in the International Serious Play Awards 2019 for Operation AVATAR, Bronze Medal winners in the International Serious Play Awards 2020 for Build a Bedroom, and Gold Medal Award for Second Life Island for Preventing Suicide (SLIPS) in 2023, all interactive provider training environments in Second Life.
Dr. Holloway received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Brigham Young University in 2004, and completed his doctoral internship at the Portland, Oregon Veterans Administration hospital.
Prior to joining CDP, Dr. Holloway worked at the Department of Defense’s National Center for Telehealth and Technology, where he led the Center’s Virtual Worlds Program which explored the use of shared virtual environments for immersive, interactive patient education, provider training, and telemental health applications. The program was recognized as a Computerworld Honors Laureate in 2012 for the T2 Virtual PTSD Experience. Dr. Holloway also led or contributed to projects investigating virtual reality exposure (VRE) therapy to treat PTSD, training providers in using VRE, gaming motivation for health applications, and video teleconferencing for telemental health.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Holloway was a staff psychologist at Madigan Army Medical Center, providing care to active-duty soldiers with an emphasis on combat-related PTSD and other anxiety disorders.
Dr. Timothy Rogers | Pathways Program Associate Director
Timothy Rogers, Ph.D., is Assistant Director at the Center for Deployment Psychology (CDP) and Assistant Professor of Medical and Clinical Psychology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. He is responsible for managing the development, delivery, and evaluation of a range of clinical training and research programs and serves as a subject matter expert/trainer on evidence-based psychotherapies for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder and Insomnia. Dr. Rogers received his Ph.D. in 2009 in Counseling Psychology at the University of Akron. He completed his Clinical Psychology Residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center and served over six years as an active-duty psychologist and deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Dr. Rogers also served for six years as the Associate Program Director for the USAF Clinical Psychology Internship at Wilford Hall in San Antonio Texas. Research interests include help-seeking behaviors, PTSD and insomnia treatment, and training in health service psychology. Dr. Rogers currently serves as an APA accreditation site visitor team chair for DoD and VA Clinical Psychology Internships.
Cassandra Burrell | Pathways Program Project Manager
Cassandra Burrell, PMP, is a Project Manager at the Center for Deployment Psychology (CDP) at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. With extensive experience in the nonprofit sector, Cassandra has built and nurtured strategic partnerships, overseen diverse projects, and collaborated with businesses to design and implement strategies that optimize internal processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
As a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Cassandra combines her technical expertise and leadership skills to drive organizational success, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within scope. Her commitment to excellence and passion for fostering innovation have consistently contributed to impactful outcomes in her professional endeavors.
Hakimah Campbell | Pathways Program Administrative Assistant
Hakimah Campbell, is an accomplished administrative professional with expertise in office management, project coordination, and operations. She has successfully led the planning and execution of large-scale training initiatives, streamlined registration and reporting systems, and developed multi-channel marketing strategies that expanded program reach and increased participation. At the Center for Deployment Psychology, she applies her skills in coordination and operational management to ensure the successful delivery of Department of Defense training programs. Her dedication to excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement makes her a vital contributor to the Center’s mission and impact.
Dr. Katrice Byrd | Pathways Program Social Work SME
Katrice Byrd, DSW, LCSW, currently serves as a Military Behavioral Health Social Worker for the Center for Deployment Psychology (CDP) at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. She joined CDP in 2021 after completing her Doctor of Social Work (DSW) Degree at the University of Southern California (USC). She focused on social determinants of health, explicitly eradicating social isolation and suicide of Veterans through evidence-based storytelling. Dr. Byrd has extensive training and experience in trauma-focused interventions, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), EMDR, Suicide Prevention, and Brainspotting. As a veteran and former Dual-Military spouse, she understands the intricate nuances of Military culture and stressors. Dr. Byrd is retired from the US Army and is also a US Marine Corps Veteran.
Dr. Deborah Nofziger | Pathways Psychology SME
Debra Nofziger, Psy.D., is a Senior Military Behavioral Health Psychologist and certified Cognitive Processing Therapy Trainer with the Center for Deployment Psychology (CDP) at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. From 2007 to mid-2020, Dr. Nofziger served as the CDP Military Internship Behavioral Health Psychologist at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) in San Antonio, TX. She assisted with managing multiple behavioral health training programs, including the Clinical Psychology Internship Program, Psychology Residency, Social Work Internship Program, and multiple post-doctoral
psychology fellowships. Dr. Nofziger was an active duty Army psychologist with assignments at BAMC and the U.S. Army School of Aviation Medicine. She was also deployed for a year to Iraq as a Brigade Psychologist with the 4th Infantry Division. Her variety of Active Duty assignments included positions as a staff psychologist in medical settings, at a community behavioral health clinic for soldiers in training, and in an aviation school environment where she was the training director for the Army’s Aeromedical Psychology Training Course.
Allison Hannah | Pathways Program Social Work SME
Allison Hannah, MSW, LCSW, is a Military Behavioral Health Social Worker for the Center for Deployment Psychology (CDP) at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. Allison is a veteran of the United States Army and United States Army Reserves. During Allison’s time in the military from 2003 through 2016, she served in various occupation specialties as a bridgecrew member, chaplain assistant, and most recently as a Human Resources Officer. While serving in the active duty component, Allison deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 2009-2011. She also held additional duties during her tenure training service members in suicide prevention and as a victim advocate with the Sexual Harassment and Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) program.
Dr. Jennifer Phillips Associate Director of Program Evaluation
Jennifer Phillips, PhD, is the Associate Director of Program Evaluation for the Center for Deployment Psychology (CDP) at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD. She first joined the CDP as the Program Evaluator in 2013.
Dr. Phillips holds an undergraduate degree in biology and psychology and masters and doctoral degrees in medical psychology from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU). Following a two-year postdoctoral research fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, she served on the psychology faculty of a small liberal arts university for five years. Before coming to CDP, Dr. Phillips worked for a government consulting firm where she contributed subject matter expertise to multiple program evaluation efforts of DoD behavioral health programs. She currently holds an adjunct faculty position at USU and continues to contribute to undergraduate, graduate, and professional psychology courses.
In addition to her training and teaching at USU, Dr. Phillips' experience as a military family member and spouse has helped her to cultivate an understanding and appreciation of the unique challenges and benefits of being part of a military family. Dr. Phillips’ professional interests include research and evaluation, the roles of learning and biology in determining behavior, and health psychology.
