Signs of Hospitality (Year 2) was conducted on April 15, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the UST Buenaventura Garcia Paredes, O.P. Building, 8th Floor Multi-Function Room. The event was a community engagement and hospitality development program that helped students deepen their und erstanding of service excellence through meaningful interactions and experiential learning. Focusing on hospitality, compassion, and professionalism, the program gave participants chances to connect with others, create a welcoming environment, and show the heart of service in the hospitality industry.
LEAD Forward: Developing Tomorrow’s Leaders was conducted on April 27, 2026 at the UST Buenaventura Garcia Paredes O.P. Building, 8th Floor Multi-Function Room as a leadership development seminar focused on preparing students for academic and organizational responsibilities. The event provided participants with discussions and activities centered on communication, decision-making, teamwork, accountability, and collaborative leadership. Through the program, students gained a clearer understanding of the roles and responsibilities of student leaders while developing practical skills applicable to both academic organizations and future professional settings.
The HRMS community gathered on April 17, 2026 at the UST BGPOP 8th Floor Multi-Function Room for an event centered on unity, friendship, and collaboration among members. The gathering provided students with opportunities to interact through group activities and shared experiences that encouraged teamwork, communication, and stronger connections within the organization. Through the event, members were able to strengthen their sense of camaraderie and support for one another, reflecting the spirit of “kapit-bisig” within the HRMS community.
Beyond the Blue: Unleashing the Future served as the grand closing event of Hospitality Management Week, held at the UST BGPOP Lobby and Mezzanine at April 10, 2026. Organized in partnership with L'Étoile and Amityco Catering, the event featured a starry night-inspired buffet experience where guests were served a curated selection of appetizers, main courses, desserts, and beverages prepared by the participating hospitality groups. The buffet included dishes such as roasted pumpkin soup, pasta with marinara and Alfredo sauce, fresh salad with orange vinaigrette, beef broccoli, roasted lemon rosemary chicken with gravy, and desserts including mango bango, leche frita, and banoffee, paired with mocktails, coffee, and tea. Through live dining service, themed presentation, and guest interaction, the event allowed students to showcase their skills in food preparation, banquet setup, hospitality service, and event execution while creating a celebratory atmosphere for the conclusion of HM Week 2026.
Seasoned Hearts: The Taste of True Talent served as a hospitality skills competition where HM and CE students competed in various practical events that tested their technical abilities and industry knowledge. Participants demonstrated proper table presentation through napkin folding, showcased housekeeping standards through bed-making challenges, prepared and mixed beverages in cocktail-making competitions, and executed culinary techniques in food preparation activities. Held on February 23, 24, and 26, 2026 at the UST Buenaventura G. Paredes O.P. Building, Albertus Magnus Building, and Reader’s Café, HCUP 2026 allowed students to apply their hospitality training in a competitive setting while highlighting precision, creativity, presentation, and professionalism in each category.
On February 9, 2026, the Hotel and Restaurant Management Society celebrated Valentine’s season with Token of Love, held at the 8th Floor Hallways of the UST Buenaventura Garcia Paredes O.P. Building from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Students had the opportunity to step into a themed photobooth to capture smiles with friends and classmates, and receive a dried flower as a simple symbol of lasting memories and genuine appreciation. The event highlighted moments of friendship, love, and gratitude, creating a warm atmosphere where participants could connect and celebrate together. From the laughter and photographs to the small tokens of appreciation, the celebration left lasting memories for all who joined, reminding everyone of the joy of sharing meaningful moments.
The Hotel and Restaurant Management Society marked the Christmas season with A Night of Lights: Illuminating the Spirit of Christmas Together on December 18, 2025, held from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the 8th Floor Multi-Function Room of the UST Buenaventura Garcia Paredes O.P. Building. The gathering created a warm and welcoming atmosphere as members came together to share joyful moments, laughter, and meaningful interactions. Through the celebration, the values of unity, gratitude, and togetherness were emphasized, leaving participants with lasting memories of a truly special evening. HRMS expresses its sincere appreciation to everyone who helped make the celebration memorable.
This Christmas season, the Hotel and Restaurant Management Society honored the people who keep our campus safe, clean, and comfortable every day through "Stars the Season: Celebrating the Spirit of Giving." This Thanksgiving-style celebration recognizes the hard work, support, and dedication of city service and security officers. expressing gratitude through small gifts, food, and warm messages of appreciation. The event took place on December 5, 2025, at the 8th floor, room 8D, Buenaventura Garcia Paredes O.P. Building, inviting the HRMS community to come together, celebrate kindness and gratitude, and share in the true spirit of the season.
The Hotel and Restaurant Management Society launched "HRMS Online: Reconnect and Represent," a digital platform designed to serve all students of UST CTHM Hospitality Management Department. This platform serves as a medium to represent the UST Hotel and Restaurant Management Society's image not only to its students but also current and potential external partners of the organization. The website aims to show organizational transparency, achievements, information on the current executive board, and it also centralizes important information for the community. Students can conveniently access announcements, view achievements, and stay connected. Additionally, the website also serves as an information and image archive of events. By exploring the platform, users are encouraged to reconnect with the college's mission, represent their pride as Hospitality Management students, and engage with a system built to support a more informed and connected academic community.
On November 23, 2025, members of Hotel and Restaurant Management Society came together to use their skills for a meaningful cause by preparing and sharing healthy, balanced meals for underprivileged children from Tahanan ng Pagmamahal Children’s Home, Inc. in Pasig, where participating students applied their expertise to service each meal with care and compassion. Through this initiative, they provided nourishment, extended support, and fostered a sense of belonging for the children, making a tangible impact on their day and creating a memorable experience for all involved.
This showcased the official items prepared for all members of the Hotel and Restaurant Management Society, showing unity and identity within the organization. The kit included an HRMS lanyard, eco bag, brooch pin, name plate, and membership card, each item representing the student’s connection to the HRMS community and their role in the hospitality field. Along with these inclusions, the membership card provided access to exclusive discounts and perks from partner establishments such as study hubs, cafés, and restaurants, giving students practical benefits they can use throughout the academic year. Designed specifically for Hotel and Restaurant Management students, the kit served as both a functional set of essentials and a symbol of their ongoing journey in the hospitality industry.
The Hotel and Restaurant Management Society gathered for this year's general assembly, "Elevate Together: HRMS General Assembly 2025," last November 8 at the Multi-Function Room, bringing members together to begin another year of collaboration and shared objectives. The event provided a space for committees to meet, interact, and participate in organized activities that encouraged teamwork and communication. With the enthusiastic participation of the members, the assembly became a meaningful gathering where students strengthened their commitment to the organization, built stronger bonds within their committees, and formed lasting friendships.
"Now You See Me, Now You Don’t" was held last October 28, 2025 at the UST Buenaventura Garcia Paredes O.P. Building at the 6th Floor Beverage Room, and the Albertus Magnus Food Laboratory 1 and 2 from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The event served as a structured food showdown and cocktail-mixing audition where Tiger Chefs prepared specific dishes and Tiger Hoteliers created designated beverages to qualify for the student competition pool of the UST CTHM Hospitality Management Department. Their performances were evaluated by the Tiger Chefs judges: Chef Ramona Olga D. Ko and Chef Reinald Andaya, and the Tiger Hoteliers judges: Ms. Mary Angel D. Elacion, who assessed technique, presentation, accuracy, and taste.
To celebrate the invaluable dedication and influence of chefs, the Hotel and Restaurant Management Society is hosting "Whisk, Flame, and Bake: The International Chef Week Celebration." Taking place last October 20 to 22, 2025 at the 8th Floor Admin’s Lobby of the UST Buenaventura Garcia Paredes, O.P. Building, this event aims to honor the chefs whose guidance, expertise, and passion continuously shape the learning experience of students. Through this celebration, the Hotel and Restaurant Management Society expresses its deep appreciation for the craft they share and their unwavering commitment that inspires future chefs professionals every day.
"Inklusive Access" is an initiative designed to provide students with affordable and accessible printing services. It aims to reduce the challenges that come with costly printing and last-minute academic requirements by offering a reliable support system within the campus. This program promotes inclusivity by ensuring that all students—regardless of financial capacity—have equal access to the resources they need for their academic and creative outputs. Whether students are working on reports, assignments, or project materials, "Inklusive Access" serves as a practical tool that helps them produce quality work efficiently and conveniently.
From September 29 to October 1 2025, the Hotel and Restaurant Management Society held its annual Recruitment 101, themed "The CTHM Big 7: Campus Collab Edition." Throughout the three day event, the halls of Buenaventura Garcia Paredes O.P. Building were filled with excitement as aspiring student leaders explored the Big 7 Houses, immersing themselves in various challenges and activities that encouraged connection and collaboration
Blaze the Trail: The Hospitality Management Freshman Orientation
Hotel and Restaurant Management Society proudly hosted its annual freshman orientation, "Blaze the Trail: The Hospitality Management Freshman Orientation," at the 21st Floor of the Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, O.P. Building, UST last July 30, 2025. The event welcomed the newest batch of Hospitality Management students with an engaging program filled with insightful introductions, warm greetings from the society and a dynamic atmosphere that set the tone for their journey in the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management.
