The UST Centralized Council Website is the official website of the UST Central Student Council that aims to provide faster and holistic information dissemination to the student body. The website also integrates the Local Student Councils' necessary information to make a centralized platform that the student body may utilize if they have concerns that are needed to be addressed. The UST-CSC will also implement a Virtual Office alongside the Centralized Council Council Website to provide the utmost service and immediate action to the concerns of the students.
The University of Santo Tomas, the Pontifical, Royal, and Catholic University of the Philippines, is a Dominican institution of learning founded in 1611, under the patronage of St. Thomas Aquinas. It is the oldest existing university in Asia. It is the largest Catholic university in the world in terms of student population. Throughout its over 400 years of existence, the University has become the alma mater of four Filipino heroes, Philippine Presidents, Chief Justices of the Supreme Court, senators, congressmen, scientists, architects, engineers, and writers, all outstanding in their chosen professions.
The UST Central Student Council is the highest governing body representing the 40,000+ Thomasian student body of the University of Santo Tomas. The council is responsible for formulating and implementing policies, rules and regulations directly affecting the welfare and interest of the students. It shall uphold the Christian ideals and objectives of the university, protect the students’ democratic rights and welfare, promote the intellectual, spiritual, socio-cultural, and physical well-being of the students, and shall ensure the full participation of the studentry in all its endeavors.
