Researchers from the AGROBIOFOR group, both Brazilian and Japanese, visited CAMTA Headquarters in Tomé-Açu for a direct exchange of ideas with CAMTA staff, farmers, local ONGs and private companies. Beyond sharing the scientific data produced during the project, the visited provided a meaningful contact between academia and traditional knowledge, expanding the arsenal of both CAMTA technical staff and farmers to deal with local issues when managing the Agroforest Systems.

The AGROBIOFOR team visited one of the largest public schools of Tomé-Açu, E.E. Antônio Brasil, with over 3,000 students, in a scientific outreach initiative. The activities included dynamic lectures about sustainable agriculture and agroforests, with a practical component based on a game of cards called "Super Fruits". Almost 80 embassador students participated, and their mission now will be to spread the information presented to their peers.
