Practicum Description: Residential Life at the University of San Francisco has Gender Inclusive floors for our queer, trans, and gender non-conforming students in 3 of our residential areas, including one of our first year halls, our transitional suite style apartments, and our full apartments so students of all years can continue to live in a supportive community. 1. Graduate assistants will learn to execute general case management support and services, administration responsibilities, and gain foundational skills and abilities in case management and higher education
2. Graduate assistants will be able to meet individually with students to assess needs, assist with problem identification, care plan creation, resource referral and appropriate follow-up as well as case tracking.
3. Graduate assistants will create relationships across campus, including UC San Diego Health that support ongoing efforts of Student Affairs Case Management Services, serving on workgroups and committees that support student needs.

Scheduling Needs:

Practicum Description:
This practicum opportunity is intended to support USF's Integrated Strategic Enrollment Plan, a partnership between the Division of Student Life and Strategic Enrollment Management, in planning out institutional-level ideas for retention, persistence, and equity in our student population. This is a continuation of the work done in the Spring 2021 by committees that have identified ideas to implement. This practicum will provide HESA students with the opportunity to research and build out ideas for campus-wide implementation.
Learning Outcomes:
-Develop research skills and become familiar with program assessment and evaluation
-Develop financial plans for university-level programs
-Present visual data to campus collaborators

The Change the World From Here Institute at USF was created to develop critically aware and goal-oriented system thinkers who are motivated to change their communities for the common good. This institute will experience a large growing period in the summer of 2022 and we are exploring ways to structure the institute for maximized intention. The practicum student will be a thought partner in establishing the foundations of the institute from website structure to alumni engagement.
