Practicum Title: Title IX and Sexual Assault Awareness Month Programming Lead

Practicum Description:
Practicum students will gain experience in the field of Title IX programming and prevention. Additionally student will have the opportunity to research, create, and facilitate prevention and education programs addressing sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking behavior.
Practicum student will assist/ lead with Sexual Assault Awareness Month Programming. Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) is an annual campaign to raise public awareness about sexual assault and educate communities and individuals on how to prevent sexual violence.
The practicum student will collaborate with the tile Title IX Task Force, Student Groups, and office at USF in implementing ongoing Title IX awareness campaigns and marketing plans; creates, updates, and maintains educational materials on Title IX, sexual harassment, sexual violence, dating and intimate partner violence, stalking, and bystander intervention; assists with training for students on sexual misconduct and Title IX.
Practicum Learning Outcomes
Practicum students will gain experience in the field of Title IX programming and prevention. Additionally student will have the opportunity to research, create, and facilitate prevention and education programs addressing sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking behavior.
Student will learn programming from a trauma informed lens and apply framework to initiatives.
Proposed Student Work Plan
Assist in creating the awareness events for the month of April for SAAM. Student will lead two programs, attend majority of SAAM events, and co-lead committee.
Opportunities to create and facilitate prevention programs for the USF community including that of bystander (upstander intervention) Health relationship, men groups, etc.
Collaboration with Gender and Sexuality Center, CAPS, Athletics and Koret on programming efforts
Additional elements of the practicum will be created with the practicum students.
Scheduling Needs
Student will need to be on campus for more than 60 percent of the practicum and available all of April to assist in implementing SAAM.

Student with past programming experience and a basic level of Title IX knowledge is required.
