CLF Program Intern

Practicum Description:
This practicum is designed for the student to be able to gain experience working with Chicana
Latina Foundation (CLF) a grassroots non-profit organization that assists Latina students in
completing their undergraduate and graduate college education by promoting their
professional, educational, and personal development. The student will have the opportunity to
learn and have hands on our scholarship process including outreach, the selection process of the
awardees, and recruitment of volunteer readers and interviewers. The practicum intern will also
be able to incorporate their knowledge in student development while they help analyze our
awardees and alumnae data and participating in program development of recommendations.
Learning Outcomes:
Gain experience in the filed of evaluation and learning that is essential for strategy and direction-setting.
Help with the development and planing of programs such as our Leadership Institute and Alumnae network.

Scheduling Needs:
Most of the internship hours will need to be completed during our office hours and during our scheduled events. However, the intern will be able to complete some tasks during off hours and out of the office - such as data analysis and social communication.
Required/Preferred Skills:
Strong Communication (written and oral), Student Development, Leadership Training, Intercultural Proficiency, Planning, and Evaluation; preferred but not required bi-cultural and bilingual student.
