Important Advisory:  

You are advised to maintain your personal U.S. based health insurance when traveling abroad.  In the event of a major accident or serious illness that requires follow up care upon returning home to the U.S. you will have your health insurance in place to provide the medical care you need such as prescription refills, physical therapy or additional surgery. 

ISOS is not health insurance as it does not provide for routine care or for any follow up medical care required upon returning home to the U.S.

NOTE LIMITATION IN COVERAGE:

ISOS is meant for approved university related activities only and does not extend to personal vacation.

Student travelers returning to their home country are advised that ISOS coverage for emergency medical services will not be extended.  

ISOS is does not include lost baggage or trip cancellation/interruption coverage.  These benefits are available through the airlines or travel agencies. Trip Cancellation Protection plans must typically be purchased within 10 - 21 days of making your initial trip payment.  For quotes or to purchase a Trip Cancellation Protection Plan you may use a provider of your choice.  One option can be found at InsureMyTrip or call 1-877-266-0741.

ISOS does not provide coverage for COVID-19 tests or expenses related to quarantine or isolation including meals and hotel stays if in the event of positive COVID-19 test result.
