Jennifer Kite received an MEd. in Deaf Education/Early Childhood from Utah State University and is currently a Parent Infant Advisor for Cache and Box Elder Counties in Utah. She’s a strong advocate for babies and toddlers with hearing loss and their families. She provides home based services in order to educate parents and work one and one with them and their child. This is where her passion truly lies!  Her professional interests include technology changes in amplification, early literacy development, and brain development. She has been a PIP advisor for 13 years and is licensed as a teacher in the state of Utah. She is also certified through Baby Watch.

Danielle was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she attended Jean Massieu School for the Deaf and learned a lot about ASL and Deaf culture. She grew up in a third-generation Deaf family, which helped her develop her Deaf identity. In high school, she transferred to the Model Secondary School for the Deaf, where she continued to grow academically and personally. Danielle is now a Deaf Studies major at Gallaudet University and will graduate in May 2026.

Last summer, she had the opportunity to intern with the Parent Infant Program, which was an incredibly meaningful experience. She loved supporting families and witnessing children make connections with their parents through communication. Moments like these always touch her heart and remind her why she chose to work as a Deaf mentor. Danielle is passionate about raising awareness about Deaf culture, providing families with resources, and inspiring confidence, connection, and pride in Deaf children. She hopes to continue making a positive impact in the Deaf community and empowering the next generation to embrace their Deaf identity fully.
