Overdues
Students may check out materials from the library for 10 school days. When a book is out for more than 10 school days, it is considered overdue. Overdue notices are sent to the classrooms to remind students to return materials. We like to encourage students to take personal responsibility for their books.
After a book has been overdue for 21 days or more, a blue note is sent home so you can help your student remember to return his/her book.
After a book has been overdue for 31 days or more, we send an email reminder to families. We try to include a picture of the book cover to help in the search.
After a book has been overdue for 41 days or more an overdue notice will be mailed home.
After a book has been overdue for more than 60 days the replacement cost is turned over to the school district and added to the students' Power School fees.
All books not returned by the end of the current school year will have the replacement cost turned over to the school district and added to the students' Power School fees.
Please note: we do not issue overdue fines.
