Hello, Jay Shideler families! I’m thrilled to be your new school librarian this year. After 12 years in education—most of them teaching secondary English in Albuquerque and Topeka—I’m excited to bring my love of books and learning to the JS library. My favorite part of this job is helping students discover stories that speak to them and making the library a place they can’t wait to visit.
When I’m not at school, you’ll find me with my husband, Jeremy (a proud JS, WRMS, and WRHS grad), our four kids—two of whom are Jays themselves—and our big, goofy beardidoodle. I love reading, writing, and creating things, whether it’s a new project for the library or something crafty at home.
If you ever have a question, a book suggestion, or just want to talk reading, I’d love to hear from you. Here’s to a year full of great books, big ideas, and a strong community of readers!
Warmly,
Emily Bradshaw
School Librarian
