The USD 428 Board of Education will receive bids at the District Education Center at 1809 24th St, Great Bend, Kansas. Bids will be opened same date and place. Late bids will be returned unopened.
Please note that the following conditions and stipulations must apply to your bids.
1. All freight and transportation charges shall be paid by the vendor and not added to the invoice.
2. All bids must be priced, extended, and totaled.
3. The Board of Education reserves the right to increase or decrease the quantity of any item bid by up to ten percent at the time of the awarding of the bid without change in the per-unit bid price.
4. Price quoted must remain firm for a period of forty-five (45) days after the awarding of the bids.
5. Bids are to be made in consideration of the tax-exempt status of unified school districts.
6. All bids are to be on the form enclosed and received by mail in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the Bid Number.
7. All items bid must be the best of their respective kinds and must be guaranteed from defects in material and workmanship. Items must be manufactured in compliance with all existing legal or government directives.
8. All items must be properly packed and/or crated to insure delivery in good condition. Rejected items will be held at the seller's risk and expense.
9. Payment of the seller's invoice is subject to adjustment of any shortage or to rejection of any item(s).
10. Contracts entered into on the basis of submitted specifications are revocable if contrary to law.
11. Date of receipt will be considered the effective date all goods and invoices are received (if applicable).
12. Unless otherwise noted, all merchandise will be directed to the Great Bend site: 625 10th St, Great Bend, KS 67530
13. All bid items will be selected on cost per unit.
14. Where bid specifications itemize brands and particular identifications, no substitutions will be accepted. Other bid items must meet or exceed specifications.
15. In the event two or more bidders submit bids in the exact same amount, complying entirely with all bid specifications and being equally responsible, the bid will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder as determined by the results of a coin toss.
16. THE BOARD OF EDUCATION RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ACCEPT OR REJECT ALL OR ANY PART OF EACH BID.
