Attached below are two information sheets about internet services in Atchison. One is options available and one is waiver form. To get the free 60 days home internet, please follow these directions. Vyve and AT&T will need confirmation from us that the student or family qualifies for free lunch. We can not release that information without permission. Below is the waiver form to give us that permission that they need to complete. Once we have that form signed - and Mrs. Gaul, our food service director looks them up and we can let VYVE know. The parent needs to call Carl Carr 785-893-0234. He works for VYVE and he will get them to the right person to get home Internet. His number is also on the bottom of the Internet Options in the attachment below. Remember it is only for those that qualify for FREE and not the reduced lunches.
This attachment gives you directions to follow.

If your child, you or someone else you know is struggling with thoughts of suicide during this stressful time of COVID19 please see the mental health resources on the first page and seek help immediately.
At USD409 Signs of Suicide curriculum is presented to students in grades 6-12. The main theme of this curriculum teach students to ACT when someone makes suicidal comments
Acknowledge there is a problem and that it is serious.
Care about the person and don’t leave them alone,
Tell a trusted adult.
If your child tells you they are worried about a friend being suicidal, take it serious and follow these steps.
Get as much information from your child as possible; Look at texts and posts on social media and screenshot texts and/or posts if possible.
Call the child's parents (if possible) tell them everything your child has told you and what you saw in texts and/or posts.
If it is not possible to call the child’s parent, call 911 or (913)367-4323 and tell the dispatch you would like to request a Welfare Check on the person. Explain what your child has told you about their friend’s suicidal threats.
Your child may not want you to reach out to their friend’s parents or the police for fear their friend will be mad at them. However, following these steps could save a life.
