Unit 9: Early Explorations of North America
In this unit, students will read about the reasons for the first early European explorations, what exploration was like, and who went exploring. We will study navigation and life on a ship, as well as descriptions of journeys and destinations reached by explorers. In addition, interactions with native people and lasting contributions are described.
