Awards

Bands will be adjudicated using the Kansas Bandmasters Association Open Class Rubrics. Click HERE to review the rubric criteria for each caption.

1. • Captions include: Music Ensemble & Individual; Visual Ensemble & Individual; General Effect (combined Music & Visual); Percussion; and Color Guard.

   • Overall scoring:

     • Music = 40%

     • Visual = 30%

     • General Effect = 30%

     • Percussion & Color Guard scores are utilized for caption awards only.

Awards will be given in the following categories:

1. • Overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place overall for the bands performing. 

   • 1st and 2nd place for each division

   • Top Percussion & Top Color Guard
