Medical Detectives

Medical Detectives is a semester elective course that allows students to explore different branches of the medical field. 

Unit 1: Diagnostic Medicine 

• An overview of Anatomy and Physiology

• Introduction to Disorders of the Body

Unit 2: Sports Medicine

• Introduction to anatomical directions

• Practical application in taking vital signs

• Presentations of various sports-related injuries

• Guest presenters in athletic training and emergency care (CPR/First Aid)

Unit 3: Forensic Medicine

• Investigation of a mock crime scene using biological indicators (DNA, Blood, Fingerprints) and chemical practices (Powder Analysis)
