Dear Parent/Guardian,
We share a responsibility to ensure your child is on track for college and career readiness.
With PreACT assessments, you can get useful information to help your child choose the right high school courses, think about ways to work on areas for improvement, and even begin discussions about their college and career interests with PreACT. We will be administering the PreACT as one of the first actionable steps your students can take to prepare for college and plan for their future.
On Thursday, November 6th, all Freshmen students will take the PreACT test during regular school hours. We will begin testing at 8:00 am sharp! Freshman who arrive after 8:15 will not be allowed to test, but will be directed to attend their scheduled classes. Students will not have access to their cell phones or smart watches while they are testing. If you need to communicate with your student, call the office; any message you leave will be given to students after they are finished testing. We expect to be done testing by 11:30 PM. Freshman students will not be allowed to leave during testing. Please plan accordingly.
We’re confident your child will do their best. This is an opportunity to see your student’s potential performance on the ACT® test. To learn more about the test, refer to the attached infographic, "6 Ways PreACT Helps You."
