Skill Plans
What are Skill Plans?:
IXL skill plans are pre-selected sets of IXL skills designed to align with specific curricula, standards, or test preparation needs. These plans provide a structured way to reinforce concepts and support students' learning, either in the classroom or at home. IXL offers skill plans for textbooks, state standards, assessments, and more. This can help educators meet students where their needs are. It pops up on the student's dashboard once it's assigned, so it makes it easy for the student to access.
ELL Support
What is ELL support that IXL provides?:
. Multilingual Support:
IXL is available in over 90 different languages, allowing students to access skills in their native language, including Spanish, French, German, and more.
Teachers can enable this support for individual students or the entire class, making IXL accessible to all ELLs.
This support includes translations of text, audio, and video tutorials.
2. Personalized Learning:
IXL offers adaptive skills and personalized learning plans that adjust to each student's individual needs and pace.
Diagnostic tools, like the "Trouble Spots" report, help identify areas where ELLs might be struggling, allowing teachers to provide targeted support.
The "Questions Log" provides detailed information on a student's work in a single skill, helping teachers pinpoint specific areas for remediation.
3. Integration with Rosetta Stone:
IXL and Rosetta Stone provide a seamless ELL solution, supporting emergent bilingual students from language acquisition to grade-level learning.
Rosetta Stone's immersive lessons help students build foundational language skills, while IXL provides additional practice in grammar, vocabulary, and reading.
