Competition: Thursday, January 8th all day at the Century II Performing Arts and Convention Center as part of Kansas Thespian Festival.

What are Thespys?
What are Thespys?
The International Thespian Excellence Awards (or Thespys for short) recognize the highest level of achievement in school theatrical performance, technical theatre, writing, and filmmaking.
New this year: Students can compete with two Thespy events if they are in different categories!
Students will receive feedback and numerical scoring from judges. These scores will determine the Ranking (Fair, Good, Excellent, Superior) the student earns.
Superior scores will qualify students to International Thespian Festival in June!

How to Compete with a Thespy
Students interesting in taking a Thespy to Kansas Thespian Festival must indicate this on their registration form no later than October 1st, 2025.
Student pieces must be chosen no later than October 14th, 2025. Submission rules and guidelines can be found in the above Thespy Guidebook.
