Students at WHS are encouraged to experience college campuses with formal college visits.. College tours allow students to ask questions, meet other prospective students and understand the college on a deeper level. How you feel about schools once you visit in person may affect the direction your college search and application process takes.
Steps to schedule a visit:
1) Research schools in which you are interested in learning more information. See your counselor for help!
2) Once you have done your research, call the admissions offices to schedule your visit. Some schools will have you schedule your visit through their admissions website.
3) Once you have your visit scheduled, fill out the College Visit Permission Slip in ADVANCE, obtaining all required signatures.
4) Turn this form into Mrs. Votaw or Mrs. Jones BEFORE your visit.
5) Go on your scheduled visit.
6) While on your visit, obtain a business card or letter with a signature and phone number of the college representative that you met with during your visit.
7) This proof must be turned into Mrs. Votaw or Mrs. Jones so that your absence can be recorded as an excused absence.
