This is a really good book for kids. It talks about a pig who was a runt and the dad had no option but to kill it. His daughter came in and said for him not to kill it and she said she would take care of it. So he let her keep it. Then so on and a lot of other things happened in the book.
I like this book because it is kid-friendly and it is a good book. It talks about having a pet pig. I would recommend this book to kids. I would rate it a 10/10 because it’s fun, learning, and an overall good book. I would read this book to my siblings if I had to read them a book.

Holes is one of those books that you get so immersed in while you’re reading. There were fifty chapters, but I finished the book in a time span of two days. I like this book a lot and the movie is good too. I feel like once you watch the movie, then read the book, you can picture the characters and setting better. I’m not usually the type to willingly sit down and read a book, but with this book, once I started reading I couldn’t stop.
There were about seven boys in the main group and three main adults that were in charge. The plot of the story is that one day Stanley Yelnats was walking and a pair of shoes hit him on the head. His dad was trying to find a way to recycle old shoes and make it into a business, so Stanley thought this could be a great pair of shoes to test. Little did he know that all because of those shoes, he would end up at the worst summer camp in the hot sun, digging holes, and meeting new friends. Those pairs of shoes would soon change his life forever.
