What if improving student writing didn’t require adding more to your plate, but instead made what you already teach more effective? In this book study of The Writing Revolution 2.0, participants will explore a practical, classroom-tested approach to using writing as a tool for thinking in any subject area. Rather than focusing on essays, this approach starts small with sentences and builds to multi paragraph writing. Through this approach students will increase their ability to communicate clearly, think critically, and deeply understand content. Through your reading and reflection responses, you’ll unpack high-impact strategies you can use immediately in any content area. Each section focuses on classroom application with examples and templates for each strategy.

This course is designed to support educators in building positive, effective, and fulfilling professional practices through the principles outlined in Seven Simple Secrets by Annette Breaux and Todd Whitaker. Grounded in practical wisdom and real-world application, this course explores seven key habits that distinguish highly effective educators and thriving school cultures.
Participants will reflect on their current practices and identify actionable strategies to strengthen relationships, maintain a positive mindset, and focus on what truly matters in education. Each module centers on one “secret,” providing opportunities to connect ideas to classroom experiences, collaborate with peers, and develop small, sustainable changes that lead to big impact.
