Class Expectations:
Students will be held to high expectations. All students are capable of great things and should have the chances and opportunities to show their greatness. All students will be expected to be respectful to themselves and others, as well as be valuable members of the classroom. Students are there to learn and grow.
Organization:
Students will be expected to learn how to become more organized this year to prepare them for middle school and beyond. They are expected to bring all materials needed for class and to make sure those materials are cleaned up when they are done. They are responsible for replacing any broken or lost materials.
Academics:
Students are expected to do their best and to ask questions when struggling. They are expected to start taking their learning into their own hands and advocating for themselves. All students are expected to do their assignments in a timely manner and ask for help as needed.
Behavioral:
All students are expected to be respectful to themselves and others. They will not disrupt the learning of others. Students will receive chances to correct their behaviors, but there are consequences for disruptive behaviors.
Homework Policy:
Students are to turn in their homework on time every Friday. No late homework, unless worked out with me in advance.
Missing Work:
Students may turn in missing work until the last day of the quarter. They will be informed of this missing work and be expected to finish it whenever they can, even at home. Students may also choose to do these assignments during recess until they are caught up.
Absent Work:
Students are responsible for completing their work they missed when they were gone. I will inform them of the assignments that were missed and work out times to do so.
Test Retake:
Students may retake any test for a higher grade. Students will need to inform me that they wish to do so to ensure that I have an extra test for them at that time.
