Coach Javi wrestled for five years at Augustana University and is is currently the varsity head coach at De Soto High School. In high school, he was a 4X state qualifier in Kansas. He was 3X state runner-up and 3x national runner-up. also placing 5X at Fargo Nationals. He currently is a Social Studies teacher, a freshman football coach, and the head boys and girls wrestling coach at De Soto High School.
