As a reminder, our Graduation Commencement Ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 10:00am. Gates open at 9:00am. No tickets are required.
More information pertaining to the Ceremony and the final days of our Class of 2026 will be forthcoming. Please pay particular attention to emails, senior website, and our weekly newsletter (Senior Scoop) for information. Seniors are also receiving information from school announcements, their Band account, and at Graduation Rehearsal.
If inclement weather prevents a 10:00 a.m. start, the ceremony will be postponed every two hours until it can be held safely. In short, if the weather prevents a 10:00 a.m. start, the event will begin at 12:00 p.m. If weather prevents a 12:00 p.m. start, the event will begin at 2:00 p.m., and so on. The latest the event will start would be 6:00 p.m. Decisions regarding each time interval will be announced at least two hours in advance and emailed and posted on the USD 231 website and social media channels.
If inclement weather prevents graduation from being held on Saturday, May 16, the event will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2026. If inclement weather prevents graduation from being held on Sunday, May 17, the event will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 2026. This schedule has been developed with consideration given to families that may have out-of-town guests requiring travel.
Guests who are disabled or hearing impaired, may receive accommodations. Please use the following form to reserve a place on the track. Contact Mrs. Abby Henson at hensona@usd231.com with any questions.
ADA compliant seating will be clearly marked on the track on the west side (home stands). One person may be seated with the guest in this designated area.
Two ASL interpreters will be located in this area as well. One person may be seated with the guest in this designated area.
Professional photographs of the graduates receiving their diplomas will be taken by Inter-State Studio. Please fill out the following form BY MAY 20 in order to receive a link to the proofs after the graduation ceremony.
Join your fellow graduates the evening of May 16 from 9 pm to 1 am for our Project Grad Event! This year's event will be held here at GEHS. (Get here by 9:30 pm because doors will close at that time and late entries will not be allowed.)
Every single student who comes and stays until 1am will receive a cash prize. There will also be raffle tickets for a chance to win another prize! There will be lots of gift cards, electronics, smart watches, etc.
Activities to keep you busy will include:
