The 8th Grade Class almost made it out, but they got Brain Freeze trying to figure out the last of the puzzles during our Lab Safety Escape Room :) That box was one tough nut to crack!

Rube Goldberg Machines:

The Most Complicated Way to Do the Simplest of Tasks

The 8th graders took on the challenge of constructing a Rube Goldberg Machine. The machine enabled them to examine simple/compound machines, energy transformations, and apply Newton's Laws of motion in real life. Once built students were able to calculate speed, acceleration, force, work, potential energy, kinetic energy, momentum, power, mechanical advantage, and overall energy of their machines. They presented their machines to the Sophomore and 6th grade class.
