One enrichment project I have assigned for my Creative Media class is to create an enhanced (video) podcast. Basically, this is a way to add some visuals to the audio of your podcast to create a true multimedia experience. The internet is full of great high quality and high resolution photos that you can use for just about anything (for free). That being said, it is always nice to keep track of what sources, websites, and/or databases you are using to download the photos you use. Acknowledging the source of your photo is a digital way of saying "thank you" to the original photographer and/or publisher.
This is an example video podcast I created from the 4th episode of my "Yours Truly Podcast" about surfing.
Another enrichment project I have assigned for students in this class is a digital slideshow. I have always thought combining photos and music in a synchronously timed manner can really produce some very cool results.
The Art Institute of Chicago is one of my favorite museums to visit in the world. It has so many great works of art from so many amazing artists and periods of time. Check out this slideshow I created using the Apple Photos Application of some of my favorite pictures from the last time I visited the museum.
