Jonathon Reinhardt (PhD, Penn State) is Associate Professor of English Applied Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition and Teaching at the University of Arizona, USA. His research focuses on the relationship between socio-technological and educational trends and second/foreign teaching and learning, especially with emergent digital technologies like digital gaming and social media. He has published over 40 books, articles, and chapters in a variety of venues and in 2020-21 is the Past President of CALICO, the Computer-Assisted Language Instructional Consortium.
Shannon Sauro (PhD, University of Pennsylvania; docent, Malmö University) is a specialist in technologically-mediated language teaching and learning in the Department of Education at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, USA. Her areas of research include the intersection of online fan practices and language teaching and learning and the role of virtual exchange/telecollaboration in language teacher education. She has trained teachers of English in both Sweden and the United States. She is active on two European-funded projects: Fanfiction for the Teaching and Application of Languages through E-Stories (FanTALES) and Evidence-Based Online Learning through Virtual Exchange (EVOLVE) and is an executive board member for UNICollaboration, an international organization for virtual exchange.
Bertha Ramos Holguín Associate professor at Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia (UPTC). She holds a PhD in Education Sciences from the UPTC. She also holds an M.A. in Applied Linguistics from the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas. She belongs to the research group “TONGUE”. Frank Giraldo is a language teacher and language teacher educator at the Foreign Languages Department of Universidad de Caldas in Manizales, Colombia. He holds a BA in English Language Teaching from Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira, Colombia. He also holds an MA in English Didactics from Universidad de Caldas and an MA in Teaching English as a Second Language from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the USA. His main research interest is the interface between Language Assessment Literacy (LAL) and teachers’ professional development.
Lucía Reyes is a lecturer and teacher trainers. Currently, working as an ELE teacher/academic assistant at the Department of Public Instruction in North Carolina, Usa. She has over 13 years of experience in the field of language teaching with diverse populations in Colombia and USA. Also, she has performed as an Academic Leader and consultant for the British Council in Colombia. Her most current research is on local literacies, interculturality and interdisciplinarity practices applied to the classroom setting and teachers' didactics.
Gonzalo Camacho Vásquez is a Faculty of Education Associate Professor at Universidad del Tolima (2013), Researcher and writer. He holds a Master in Education from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Bogotá, a B.A. in English (2002) Language Teaching from Universidad Industrial de Santander (1995).
