The 3rd International Symposium on Research in Foreign Language Teaching is an Annual event organized by the Undergraduate English Teacher Education Programs and the Master Programs in English Didactics at Universidad Surcolombiana (Neiva, Huila) and Universidad del Tolima (Ibague, Tolima).

The International Symposium on Research in Foreign Language Teaching was thought as a venue to disseminate results from research projects, teaching practicum experiences and pedagogical reflections linked to the field of foreign language teaching and learning (Macías & Jaime, 2018).

This year, 2020, has been an atypical year in every single aspect. In the educational field, many processes had to be adjusted, we had to look for other spaces, other mediation and other strategies to continue teaching. Nevertheless, this restructuring of education has opened the doors to a better understanding of our students and contexts.

The main topic of the 3rd International Symposium is "Alternatives in English Language Teaching," in this sense, we expect language teachers from all the country and other countries share their innovative, contextualized and relevant experiences, reflections and research projects.

The participation in the 3rd International Symposium on Research in Foreign Language Teaching is for free.
