Wen Shi is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Biomedical Engineering and M.S. candidate in Electrical Engineering at University of Southern California (USC). She received her M.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering from USC in 2017.
Under the guidance of Dr. Scott Fraser and Dr. Francesco Cutrale at Translational Imaging Center at USC, she developed interests and skill sets in medical imaging and image processing. She has been actively employing advanced medical imaging techniques to follow the dynamics of fundamental biological processes and developing analytical tools to better understand life sciences.
The mission of TIC is to develop new technologies for the imaging of biological structure and function. The technologies range from conventional light microscopy and laser scanning microscopy, to optical coherence tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) microscopy.
