Are you a Fellow in the ORAI PhD Program?
You’re eligible for up to $4,000 in travel funding over the course of your PhD program (maximum $2,000 per year) to support professional development activities.
What the funding covers?
This grant supports approved professional‐development activities (conference, workshop, tutorial, educational program, or similar) that contribute to your ability to engage with ORAI research. Eligible expenses include registration fees and travel costs (note that any airfare must be purchased from a US airline carrier).
Must be a current Fellow in the ORAI PhD Program

Funding must be approved before the activity takes place — you must apply ahead of time
After completing the activity, you’ll submit receipts for reimbursement
Expenses are reimbursed up to the approved amount
How to apply?

Fill in all required details: the activity you intend to attend, dates, location, cost estimate, how it will benefit your research/training.
Submit your application. ORAI will review it and send you a decision with the approved funding amount.
Wait for approval before committing to major expenditures.
Each Fellow is eligible for up to $4,000 total in ORAI travel funding across all trips during their fellowship. (maximum $2,000 per year)
Apply before the activity; expenses made without approval are not guaranteed to be reimbursed.
Only registration and travel expenses are eligible.
Each trip or activity requires a separate application for pre-approval.
Submit reimbursement within 30 days of the event.
All reimbursements are subject to institutional travel and finance policies.
