Formal Biography

Stacey Ritter is a Ph.D. candidate in the Leventhal School of Accounting and will be graduating in May of 2021. Her research involves examining contextual factors that affect individual and firm behavior, and her work has been published in the Journal of Accounting Research. She has taught financial accounting and has served as a teaching assistant for advanced auditing courses. In 2019, she received the Mary Pickford Foundation Doctoral Teaching Award for her excellence in teaching. Stacey has professional experience in consulting and auditing at Deloitte, internal auditing at Raytheon, and within the Provost Office at the University of Cincinnati. Stacey is a licensed Certified Public Accountant with a master’s degree in Accounting and a minor in Management Information Systems from The University of Texas at Austin.
