Since 2015, I have been teaching, choreographing, competing, and performing various partner dance styles, including but not limited to:
Latin Social Dances (LA-style Salsa, Bachata, Merengue)
International Latin Ballroom (Cha-cha, Rumba, Samba, Paso Doble, Jive)
International Standard/American Smooth Ballroom (Waltz, Viennese Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Quickstep)
Swing Dances (West Coast Swing & East Coast Swing)
I am the former co-president (2021-2022), creative director (2021-2023), and competition team captain (2024-2025) of USC Break on 2 Latin Fusion Dance Team (2020-2026) and a former performer/coach/artist-in-residence of the Claremont Colleges Ballroom Dance Company (CCBDC, 2015-2020). I have also assisted with teaching and choreographing for International Style Ballroom Dance (DANC 188B) at USC's Kaufman School of Dance every fall semester from 2021-2025. I have performed in various venues around Los Angeles, including Atomic Ballroom, Cicada Club, Steven's, Golden Rose, SoHo Dance Studio, The Granada LA, various universities, and SoFi Stadium for the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show in 2022.
I am strongly passionate about inclusivity in dance. I advocate for teaching with inclusive language, choreographing with styling for all gender expressions, and learning about the cultural origins/significance of each dance style.
Call Me Señorita - Choreographer & Performer (2026)
Reflecting the lyrics of “Señorita,” this Latin fusion piece tells the story of a traveler who lands in Miami, meeting a girl with whom he shares an instant connection. Though they know their romance can’t last, they find themselves unable to resist each other.
¡Bailar! - Competitor (2026)
This salsa performance, choreographed by world-champion Latin dancer Zweli Barton, achieved first place at the Royal Latin Dance Cup in April 2026 in the collegiate team division, and was runner-up in the amateur team division.
La Novela del Circo - Choreographer & Performer (2025)
"La Novela del Circo" takes its inspiration from the story of the paso doble dance: a trilogy told through partner dance about preparing for a bullfight, putting on a show, and the celebration afterwards. This piece puts that story into cha cha dance, weaving together two seemingly unrelated songs with a shared cha cha rhythm and storyline.
El Chico del Apartamento 512 - Soloist (2025)
This jazz/cumbia piece, danced to the song "El Chico del Apartamento 512" by legendary signer Selena, tells the story of how a girl can't seem to get the attention of the guy in apartment 512 (played by me).
2024 Salsa Competition Team (Winner) - Performer (2024)
This salsa performance, choreographed by world-champion Latin dancer Zweli Barton, won The Granada LA College Salsa Team Competition in April of 2024, and was the first competition team from USC since 2019.
Rewrite the Stars - Choreographer & Performer (2024)
"Rewrite the Stars" reflects the struggles and challenges faced by two star-crossed lovers as they try to navigate their feelings for each other in a world that doesn't readily accept their relationship. This piece captures their complex feelings that evolve throughout the song through rumba: the most emotive style of ballroom Latin dance.
Break on 2, Mi Encanto - Choreographer and Performer (2023)
The movie Encanto is a celebration of Latinx culture and teaches the importance of family. Like the family Madrigal, every performer in this piece comes in with different talents, but ultimately come together for their love of dance. This piece blends 5 songs from the Encanto soundtrack and 6 styles of partner dance: merengue, Viennese waltz, zouk, cha-cha, tango, and salsa.
Cha Block Tango - Choreographer and Performer (2023)
"Cell Block Tango" is one the most famous Broadway numbers, telling the stories of six murderesses who killed their lovers. This piece puts a twist on the classic number to incorporate partner choreography in the styles of cha-cha and tango.
