Rockets and Aerospace Engineering

This week we explored multiple fields of engineering including aerospace, chemical, industrial, and mechanical engineering to build a multistage rocket and carbon capture device capable of capturing carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Essentially, the three stage rocket was supposed to be launched into the air with the payload of the carbon dioxide capture device, and then at maximum altitude, launch/release the carbon dioxide capture device into the atmosphere. Through this project we found that all four of these fields of engineering were very relevant to the design and execution of rockets and carbon capture devices, and we learned new and relevant ideas that will be very useful in our futures as engineers.
