Structures and Civil Engineering
Over the course of this week, we dove into the the world of civil engineering and worked on two truss bridges and a structural design process research paper to gain a deeper understanding of how the structures that surround us are made. We collaboratively designed a 2D bridge in the 2016 Bridge Designer software and a 3D bridge in Model Smart 3D. After the completion of these designs, we put each bridge into a virtual simulation to test their performance, and both of our bridges turned out to be successful.
