Jonathan Fridg

Jonathan has been a dedicated member of the Pittsburgh/Western PA service industry since age 18, bringing a unique blend of hospitality experience and non-profit leadership to his role as Chapter President for 2026.

Jonathan’s career spans the full spectrum of Pittsburgh’s nightlife, ranging from his roots as a Bartender/karaoke host at There Ultra Lounge to mastering refined service at Blend Bar and managing high-volume operations at The Vault Taproom. This diverse background has given him a deep appreciation for every style of bartending and every member of the community.

Beyond the bar, Jonathan brings eight years of non-profit governance experience. He served on the Board of Stonewall Alliance from 2017 to 2025, helping to build the organization from the ground up. He plans to apply that same structural expertise to the USBG, handling the administrative heavy lifting behind the scenes to ensure the Guild runs smoothly and transparently.

After serving as Chapter Secretary in 2024, Jonathan steps into the Presidency with a clear mission: to bring value, fun, and connection back to the membership. He is revitalizing the chapter's Roundtables by introducing flexible attendance, allowing members to choose between engaging in committee business or simply enjoying the educational and social aspects of the Guild. Jonathan is honored to be the custodian of the Guild’s legacy and looks forward to celebrating Pittsburgh’s rich history of craft and community.
