ABOUT US
We are a team of chemical, biotech and food engineers interested in interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research on membrane materials and processes, as well as their combination and enhancement with other technologies such as the neoteric solvents (supercritical fluids, ionic liquids and deep eutectic solvents).
Our efforts are focused on the development of sustainable applications, processes and materials for various fields of industrial interest (food industry, mining, chemistry, biorefineries, biopolymers), biomedical applications, analytical solutions and domestic water treatment systems, among others.
We develop research on the analysis, design and upgrading of different operations in terms of their physico-chemical and chemical properties as well as the associated mass and heat transfer phenomena.
All our work is carried out in close collaboration with various national and international teams of experts in the fields of chemistry, electrochemistry, biotechnology, biology, architecture, food engineering, materials science and process engineering.
