Classroom shortages

Student pull-out and small-group instruction areas do not exist

Security concerns related to front office design and the number of entry points located throughout the existing building

Student, staff, and visitor accessibility to different areas of the building 

Library square footage has been reduced by over 65% in the past 10 years, we have used the space for 2 additional classrooms as well as office space for our Special Education Department

Student pick-up and drop-off is unsafe, congested and creates traffic issues on Oak Park Ave

The new addition will provide 8 additional classrooms and 2 science labs

Additional small-group instruction areas are included in the plan and will free up smaller spaces in the current building for small-group instruction

Redesigned front office  with modern security upgrades and review current entry points throughout the existing building 

Add two elevators to the existing building

The current plan calls for a new library 

The new addition will have a cafeteria on the first level 

Storage space will be included in the new construction

Relocate parking lot to allow for pick-up and drop-off away from Oak Park Ave
