Gifted/Enrichment Program

Primary Enrichment

The Primary Enrichment Program is a fluid and flexible push-in group for second graders. Formal gifted identification is determined in the beginning of third grade. 

Intermediate Enrichment and Acceleration

Union Ridge's Enrichment Program is a supplemental English Language Arts (ELA)  program for identified students in third through fifth grade. Placement in the ELA Enrichment Program involves multi-tiered levels of identification and assessments, including a cognitive abilities test. 

Placement in Whole Grade or Single Subject Acceleration programs in third thru eighth grade also involve multi-tiered levels of identification, assessments and a cognitive abilities test.


Middle School Acceleration

Identified middle school students have the opportunity to be accelerated into  Integrated Math 1 and/or Integrated Math 2. These are high school level math courses taught at Union Ridge School.
