URI FSAE offers real world engineering experience and skills. This organization pushes students to challenge themselves with real world problems and build professional relationships. Most of our members joined us with no prior experience with the tools, techniques or software we use everyday. Each of those members were taught everything they need to be successful on our team and in the world of engineering as a whole. We will guide every member through the design and build process of our racecar. You'll gain engineering design experience, networking opportunities, have access to interactive workshops and more!
Our team is made up of a variety of majors including, but not limited to, engineering, business and computer science disciplines. We divide our work into five categories: Suspension, Powertrain, Electrical, and Chassis. Each of these teams are led by our team leads, who guide our members through assignments and projects considering their part of the car. You can read more about our team leads and their progress on the "progress" tab here!
