Joint Group of Marine Geophysicists and Physical Oceanographers (JGMGPO)

We are a group of self-organized scientists to promote collaboration between marine geophysicists and physical oceanographers. The main goal is to explore potential synergies and start the process of developing plans for closer collaboration between marine geophysicists and physical oceanographers. The current focus is on seafloor pressure but will expand to other subjects.

March 15, 2022. 1-day online workshop (report).
April 3-5, 2023. 2.5 day In-person workshop at the University of Rhode Island, United States (report).
February 18, 2024. 3-hour in-person pre-conference event at the Ocean Sciences Meeting in New Orleans, LA, United States (report).

Future events

April 29 - May 1, 2026. 3-day in-person workshop at Kiel, Germany right before the EGU General Assembly 2026.
