2020 Working Group Draft Agenda

August 31, 11-1pm -- Meeting 1

1. 30 min: Introductions and Recap:

   1. Name, affiliation, current work, what you hope to accomplish with this workshop.

   2. Austin: recap of past working groups and introduction to the website, past ideas.

   3. Overview of the RFP for seed money

2. 45 min: Review/discuss/add to list of Research topics generated from previous working groups.

   1. Identify top 1-3 Research topics for further exploration.

   2. Identify candidates to take the lead for each of those

3. 45 min: Review/discuss/add to list of Potential Initiatives generated from previous working groups

   1. Identify top 2 Initiatives for further exploration.

Deliverable: One to three research topics or questions with associated initiative

Sept. 11, 9-11pm -- Meeting 2

1. 10 min: Recap previous meeting output: top research topics and initiatives for 2020 focus.

2. 20 mins: Break into groups to flesh out research topic ideas

3. 1 hr: Develop proposal(s) for submission in groups or as a whole team.

   1. Identify leads, roles and collaborations

   2. Goal and objectives

   3. Rationale

   4. Methodology

   5. Expected outcomes

   6. Ethical considerations

   7. Timeline

   8. Future steps.

4. 15 min: Summarize next steps, roles and responsibilities.

Deliverable: One to two proposal Letter of Intent draft(s), task list, timeline
