Civilian-Military Humanitarian Climate Change Working Group

This working group has met in 2017, 2018, and 2020, and 2021 to bring together representatives of civilian, military, and humanitarian organizations in order to consider how climate change will impact future humanitarian disasters. This website serves as a clearinghouse and repository for information and ideas resulting from meetings of this working group. It is a living document, which working group members are welcome to edit and contribute to as they see fit.

At the 2018 working group session, members developed the following mission statement for the group's work:

It is the mission of the Civilian Military Humanitarian Climate Change Working Group (CMHCCWG) to generate new knowledge to inform stakeholder policy makers to facilitate pro-active long term resilience planning and policy towards disaster risk reduction and humanitarian response.
